Sample Verification

Don't take a datasheet's word for it.

Send us your shortlist — or your application — and we verify the candidates against your acceptance criteria before you commit a single dollar to volume. No equipment we do not have. No claims we cannot back.

How it works

Our verification network — and why it beats owning a bench

We are engineers, not an equipment landlord. Here is exactly how verification happens, layer by layer:

Authorized labs & factory demo benches

Every brand on your shortlist gets tested by its own authorized partner or factory demo bench — the people with the optics, lighting and targets for that product. They test to our written plan, not their sales script.

Samples borrowed or at cost

Units are borrowed from authorized stock where available, or purchased with your prepaid funds — pass-through at cost, no markup, ever. You approve the total before anything ships.

Our engineers audit the raw data

Raw captures, MTF-style measurements, noise statistics and protocol logs cross-checked against the test plan. Cherry-picked images, copy-paste specs and inconsistent test conditions get caught here — this is the layer nobody else provides.

Third-party reports when it matters

For critical projects we commission accredited third-party labs — standard-based testing (EMVA 1288, GB/T imaging-quality standards) with formal reports. Coordinated at cost, audited by us.

The test plan

What a verification covers

We write the test plan to your application. A typical plan includes:

Resolution & sharpness

Effective resolution with representative optics — including edge/sharpness analysis on standard targets, not the sensor maximum on the box.

Noise & uniformity

Temporal dark noise, fixed-pattern noise and shading uniformity at your working gain and exposure.

Colour fidelity

Colour reproduction against a reference chart under controlled illumination — critical if you grade or classify by colour.

Frame rate & trigger behaviour

Sustained frame rate at full resolution, exposure latency and trigger jitter — the numbers that decide whether you keep up with the line.

Protocol & SDK compatibility

GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, Camera Link and CoaXPress behaviour with GenICam, on your host platform — verified before the camera ships to you.

Environmental checks

Operating temperature range, heat build-up over a soak test and vibration tolerance where the application demands it.

The process

From shortlist to decision in five to seven days

Samples and courier are pass-through at cost. You pay a flat handling fee — no markup on hardware.

Step 1: Acceptance criteria

You send the shortlist (or let our Selection Sprint build it) plus your acceptance thresholds — the numbers that would make you reject a camera.

Step 2: Sample sourcing

We secure the units — borrowed from authorized stock or purchased with your prepaid funds — and confirm configuration and firmware revision on arrival.

Step 3: Coordinated testing

The test plan runs on authorized benches and factory demo setups with representative optics, lighting and targets — including your application scenario where possible.

Step 4: Data audit & report

Our engineers audit the raw data against the plan, normalize conditions across models, and produce a written report with comparison table, sample images and video.

Step 5: Decision

Proceed to a managed order with the tested configuration locked, or walk away — with data that makes the next selection cheaper.

Engineer verifying imaging hardware

Why not just own a bench?

The honest answer about our equipment

No theatre, no borrowed lab coats

You get a real verification chain: authorized benches run the measurements, accredited labs sign the formal reports, and our engineers audit every number in between.

A bench biases what you can test

Owning one brand’s test gear quietly pushes you toward that brand. A network tests whatever your application needs — across every shortlisted brand.

A bench costs five figures before your first client

Targets, optical comparators, light measurement and calibrated sources are a serious capital line. We would rather spend that on people and partners.

What we do own: judgment

Test-plan design, raw-data audit and cross-brand comparison. Equipment runs measurements; engineers decide what they mean. That is the part you are hiring.

And when hardware-grade proof is required

Accredited third-party labs provide standard-based, formal reports — coordinated at cost. The strongest evidence available, without us pretending to be a lab.

Deliverables

What lands in your inbox

Evidence you can attach to the PO

The report is written to be forwarded — to your engineering lead, your quality team, or your customer.

Written verification report (PDF)

Test plan, conditions, measured results against your criteria, and a clear pass/fail per test.

Comparison table

All verified models side by side on the metrics that matter for your application.

Raw images & video

Unedited captures and short clips so your team can judge with their own eyes.

Final recommendation

One model, the runner-up, and the trade-offs — plus the exact configuration to order.

FAQs

Sample Verification questions

What does a verification cost?

A flat handling fee from $200 per model, plus sample and courier cost at pass-through. Third-party lab testing, where required, is quoted separately at cost. Exact quotes are given before we commit anything — you always approve the total first.

How long does it take?

Typically 5–7 business days from approval, including sample sourcing and coordinated testing. In-stock models are faster; factory-built-to-order samples can take longer — we flag that up front.

Who actually performs the tests?

Authorized labs and factory demo benches for each brand, running the test plan we write — with accredited third-party labs for formal, standard-based reports when a project needs them. Our engineers specify the plan and audit the raw data.

How do you stay neutral if the brand’s own lab runs the test?

Three mechanisms: we write the test plan (not the vendor), we require raw data rather than conclusions, and our engineers audit both against the plan. A vendor can still look good — but only with numbers that survive an audit.

Can you test with our optics and lighting?

Yes, and it is the recommended route: ship us your lens, light and a sample part (or your defect images), and the authorized bench reproduces your setup as closely as possible.

Do we own the report and images?

Yes. The report, raw images and video are yours to use internally or with customers. We only ask to reference anonymised results in our own content, with your permission.

Verify the camera. Then trust the datasheet.

Send your shortlist and acceptance criteria — you will have audited data before the purchase order.
